OLD - DO NOT USE - The Janice K. and Timothy I. Maudlin Endowed Scholarship Fund for International Students at LS
The Janice K. and Timothy I. Maudlin Endowed Scholarship Fund for International Students at Luther Seminary was established in 2017 to honor Jan and Tim Maudlin’s deep passion for educating and developing future leaders for Christian communities. Jan and Tim met while students at St. Olaf College and were married in 1973. Jan and Tim along with their two children, Eric and Laurie, joined St. Andrew Lutheran Church in Eden Prairie in 1983. Reflecting their joint passion for the education and development of future leaders for Christian communities, Jan and Tim initially and for several years funded a Lutheran congregation’s scholarship program for its active members who were also Luther Seminary students. Today this scholarship program has grown cumulatively to be more than that of any other ELCA congregation to Luther Seminary. Further reflecting their gratitude for Luther Seminary and their passion for the education and development of future leaders, Tim was humbled and honored to have served on the Luther Seminary Board of Directors beginning in 2009 until 2017. This scholarship will provide important support for one or more deserving and academically exceptional international students from Luther Seminary.
