William and Hedwig Schultz Endowed Scholarship Fund

The William and Hedwig Schultz Endowed Scholarship Fund was established in February, 1995, by Hedwig Schultz. Hedwig was a kindergarten teacher in Hector, Minn., who also taught in mission schools in Ecuador and Rock Point, Ariz. She was an active lay leader in her congregation, St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Hector, Minn., and recognized Luther Seminary as an important training ground for future church leaders. She established this fund to honor the memory of her husband, William. This fund provides important support for financially deserving students preparing for full-time church-related vocations.
