Norman and Dolores Moen Scholarship Fund

The Norman and Dolores Moen Scholarship Fund established at the Lutheran Community Foundation in 2011 provides support for students preparing to be leaders in the church. Norman and Dolores Moen began their life together in 1949 in rural Gary, Minnesota. They farmed with Norman’s father and brother in a partnership called, Oscar Moen & Sons. Along with raising award-winning dairy cattle, small grains and potatoes, they raised two sons, David and Noel. Norman and Dolores were active members of St. Petri Lutheran Church, singing in the church choir and sharing their gift of music through duets performed at countless weddings and funerals. This scholarship provides important.seminary scholarships to financially deserving M.Div students preparing for ordained ministry.
