Martin Finstad Endowed Scholarship Fund

The Martin Finstad Endowed Scholarship Fund was established in April, 1953, by the estate of the Rev. Martin Finstad. Martin was a pastor in the Norwegian Lutheran Church of America who recognized Luther Seminary as an important training ground for future church leaders. He established this fund to express his thanksgiving to God and to help Luther Seminary students prepare to strengthen and extend the ministries of Jesus Christ in the church and the world. This fund provides important support for financially deserving M.Div or Ph.D. students preparing for ordination in the Lutheran church.
