Vernon E. Severson Endowed Scholarship Fund

The Vernon E. Severson Endowed Scholarship Fund was established on June 22, 2004, by the estate of Vernon Severson. Vernon was a 1958 graduate of Luther Theological Seminary. The fund was established to give thanks for the blessings of God bestowed upon his family and his community of faith and to help Luther Seminary students prepare to extend and share the good news of Jesus Christ during their lives of service to the church. This fund provides important support for financially deserving students with preference for students from the South Dakota Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.
