David and Nancy Olson Endowed Scholarship Fund

The David and Nancy Olson Endowed Scholarship Fund was established in 2001 by family and friends in honor of Bishop David and Mrs. Nancy Olson, spearheaded by a generous gift from Bill and Dee Nord. David is a graduate of Luther Theological Seminary and served on the faculty of Luther Seminary as well as serving as bishop of the Minneapolis Area Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. The fund was established in thanksgiving to God for the fourteen years of joint service and ministry through the Minneapolis Area Synod, and provides important financial support for deserving M.A. or M.Div. students preparing to be missional leaders, with preference for students with a vision for starting new congregations or serving in international missions work.
