Clara Messerschmidt Endowed Scholarship Fund

The Clara Messerschmidt Endowed Scholarship Fund was established in July, 2007, by Bill and Millie Messerschmidt to honor Bill’s mother. The Messerschmidts are active lay leaders who recognize Luther Seminary as an important training ground for future church leaders. They established this fund to express their thanksgiving to God and to help Luther Seminary students prepare to strengthen and extend the ministries of Jesus Christ in the church and the world. This fund provides important support for financially deserving students with first preference for M.Div. students preparing to be pastors in the ELCA and second preference for ELCA students.
