Richard Wallace Scholarship Fund
%%%%%%%%%% DO NOT SEND THIS TO DONORS, IT IS AN INTERNAL DESCRIPTION ONLY!! %%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%% This fund was established in memory of Richard Wallce, a faculty member who died suddenly in 2005 and who is interred in the memorial garden. Wallace was a faculty person of color – probably one of the first – and this fund was established to support students of color. As of this writing, August 2019, it is one of a few scholarships on the Luther website that students can apply for. It is not funded primarily by donations, and it does not appear that more than a few thousand dollars have ever been contributed to it. Rather, it is funded by various internal sources. It was established by Luther and not a donor. The office of financial aid can produce a list of who all has received support from this scholarship.
