Astrid Skogen and Grace Peterson Endowed Scholarship Fund

The Astrid Skogen and Grace Peterson Endowed Scholarship Fund was established in June, 1999, by the estate of Astrid Skogen, and received significant contributions from the estate of Grace Peterson following her death in May, 2006. Grace was an active lay leader in her congregation, First Lutheran Church in Duluth, Minn., and recognized Luther Seminary as an important training ground for future church leaders. Astrid and Grace established this fund to express their thanksgiving to God and to help Luther Seminary students prepare to strengthen and extend the ministries of Jesus Christ in the church and the world. This fund provides important financial support for deserving full-time students preparing for church vocations.
