Alan and Dorothy Kjorlie Lee Endowed Scholarship Fund

The Alan and Dorothy Kjorlie Lee Endowed Scholarship Fund was established in June, 2007, by Dorothy Lee. Dorothy is an active lay leader at St. Stephen Lutheran Church in Bloomington, Minnesota, who recognizes Luther Seminary as an important training ground for future church leaders. She established this fund to express her thanksgiving to God and to help Luther Seminary students prepare to strengthen and extend the ministries of Jesus Christ in the church and the world. Dorothy grew up in Fargo and graduated from Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota. She began her career as a teacher, and retired as manager of the Employee Support Program at Abbott-Northwestern Hospital. Alan served in World War II and was a graduate of St. Olaf College. He died in October, 2000. This fund provides important financial support for deserving Master of Divinity students studying to be ordained pastors in the Lutheran church.
