Marion and John W. Johnson Endowed Scholarship Fund

The Marion and John W. Johnson Endowed Scholarship Fund was established in February, 2005, by John and Marion Johnson. John and Marion are active lay leaders in their congregation, Mount Olivet Lutheran Church in Minneapolis, Minn., and recognize Luther Seminary as an important training ground for future church leaders. John has served as the council president and presently serves as the financial officer for their congregation. John and Marion have traveled extensively around the world, and enjoy sharing memories of their trips to Africa. They established this fund to express their thanksgiving to God and to help Luther Seminary students prepare to strengthen and extend the ministries of Jesus Christ in the church and the world. This fund provides important financial support for deserving M.Div. students preparing for ordination and full-time parish ministry in the ELCA.
