Efraim and Margaret Pedersen Endowed Scholarship Fund

The Efraim and Margaret Pedersen Endowed Scholarship Fund was established by Efraim and Margaret Pedersen in January, 2006. Efraim’s father was an immigrant from Denmark and a charter member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Kenmare, N.D., which celebrated its 110th anniversary in June, 2006. The Pedersens were active in their congregation and maintained the congregation’s historical records. The Pedersens’ son-in-law, Russell Rhoads, is a graduate of Luther Seminary. As Trinity is now part of a three-point parish, their daughter Jean and her husband Bryan Quigley are frequent lay preachers at the congregation during the weeks that the ordained pastor is presiding elsewhere. This fund provides important financial assistance to deserving students in any degree program, with priority given to members of the Western or Eastern North Dakota Synods of the ELCA.
