Edwin Gundersen Endowed Scholarship Fund

The Rev. Edwin Gundersen Endowed Scholarship Fund was established by Edwin’s daughter Lilly Gracia Christensen with thanksgiving for the blessings of God bestowed upon their extended family. The Rev. Gundersen graduated from Luther Seminary in 1939. During his 36 years as a pastor he served parishes in Minnesota, Wisconsin, New York and New Jersey. He also served as a chaplain, first with the U.S. Army during WWII and later in hospitals and nursing homes on the East Coast. One scholarship will be awarded annually to financially deserving senior seminarians drawn to chaplaincy ministries in the military, in hospitals or in care agencies that give spiritual and practical assistance, or if none qualify, to an international student.
