Karl O. Lee Endowed Scholarship Fund
The Karl O. Lee Endowed Scholarship Fund was established in February, 1995, by Karl Lee. Karl is a 1966 graduate of Luther Theological Seminary. Until his retirement, he led the K.O. Lee Company, a manufacturer of industrial grinders for machines, tools, and cutters used in factories. Karl is an active lay leader in his congregation, Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Aberdeen, S.D., and recognizes Luther Seminary as an important training ground for future church leaders. As a former Luther Seminary student, he particularly desires to maintain the outstanding quality of teaching at Luther Seminary so that the Gospel can be spread. This fund was established to express Karl’s thanksgiving to God and to help Luther Seminary students prepare to strengthen and extend the ministries of Jesus Christ in the church and the world. This fund provides important support for financially deserving students who are entering with or maintaining a “B” average or better.
