Grant and Annette Hustad and Family Endowed Scholarship Fund
The Grant and Annette Hustad and Family Endowed Scholarship Fund was established in March, 2003, by Grant and Annette “Nettie” Hustad. The Hustads are active lay leaders in their congregation, Glenwood Lutheran Church in Glenwood, Minn., and recognize Luther Seminary as an important training ground for future church leaders. Grant is a contractor who builds manmade lakes and lakeshore housing throughout Minnesota. Grant’s brother-in-law, Mark Ramseth, is a 1970 graduate of Luther Theological Seminary who retired in 2013 after serving as the president of Trinity Lutheran Seminary in Columbus, Ohio. Nettie is a talented performer who provided entertainment at Luther Seminary’s 2008 Convocation. This fund was established to express their thanksgiving to God and to help Luther Seminary students prepare to strengthen and extend the ministries of Jesus Christ in the life of the church and the world. This fund provides important financial support for deserving ELCA students, with first preference for members of Glenwood Lutheran Church in Glenwood, Minn., and second preference for members of the Southwestern Minnesota Synod of the ELCA.
