James and Sharon Magelssen Endowed Scholarship

The Jim and Sharon Magelssen Endowed Scholarship Fund at Luther Seminary was established by a grateful parishioner in honor of Pastor and Mrs. Magelssen, as a way to multiply this gratitude through future generations of pastors. The purpose of this fund is to provide important scholarship support to one M.Div. student who has demonstrated financial need or special merit. Pastor Jim Magelssen is a 1971 graduate of Luther Seminary. His pastoral ministry sites were Immanuel Lutheran Church and Little Plum Lutheran Church in Pepin, Wisconsin; Christus Lutheran Church in Clintonville, Wisconsin, First Lutheran Church in Hayward, Wisconsin; Assistant to the Bishop, Northwest Synod of Wisconsin; Trinity Lutheran Church in Mason City, Iowa. This scholarship provides important support annually for a financially deserving or meritorious M. Div. student preparing for ordained ministry.
