O. Dale Larson Endowed Scholarship Fund

The O. Dale Larson Endowed Scholarship Fund was established in 1981 by O. Dale and Pat Larson. Dale and Pat are long time members of their congregations, First Lutheran Church and St. Thomas More Catholic Church, both in Brookings, S.D., and recognize Luther Seminary as an important training ground for future church leaders who will encourage ecumenical dialogue between the Lutheran and Roman Catholic traditions. Their brother-in-law, Marlin Wogstad, is a 1954 graduate of Luther Theological Seminary. This fund was created to express their thanksgiving to God and to help prepare Luther Seminary students to strengthen and extend the ministries of Jesus Christ in the church and the world. This fund provides important support for deserving students from South Dakota enrolled in any degree program.
