Conrad and Swanhild Thompson Endowed Scholarship Fund

The Conrad and Swanhild Thompson Endowed Scholarship Fund was established by the children of Conrad and Swanhild in April 1990 in celebration of their fiftieth wedding anniversary. Conrad and two of his sons and two of his grandchildren graduated from Luther Seminary or its predecessor seminaries. Swanhild was raised in the mission fields of Madagascar. Conrad became one of the finest biblical preachers in the Lutheran church, and hosted the radio show “Lutheran Vespers” for many years. The fund was established out of the Thompsons’ particular interest in global missions. This fund provides important financial support for deserving international students with a preference for students from Madagascar or from other African countries.
