Lois Ruth Hansing Student Aid Scholarship Endowed Fund

The Lois Ruth Hansing Endowed Scholarship Fund was established through Lois’ estate in 2011. Lois was active at Lutheran Church of the Master, and later at Normandale Lutheran in Edina. She had a passion for global health and was involved with Luther Seminary’s Global Mission Institute. She was motivated to support Luther students out of gratitude for pastors sent out in ministry, and she wanted to pass on to the next generation the joy of giving. Lois believed God blessed her with satisfaction in a fairly simple lifestyle which afforded her the ability to support her congregation with a tithe and beyond that to give joyfully to Luther Seminary and other organizations. This scholarship will be awarded with first preference for deserving international students; second preference for deserving minority students.
