Roger and Susan Eggen Family Endowed Scholarship Fund

The Roger and Susan Eggen Family Scholarship was established in 2013 in gratitude for the influence of Dr. Paul Sponheim at Concordia College and at Luther Seminary. Roger and Susan Eggen are engaged members of two congregations: St. James Lutheran Church in Crystal, Minnesota and Desert Hills Lutheran Church in Green Valley, Arizona. After graduating from Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota, Roger had a career providing scientific and medical instruments. Susan’s vocations included gardening, household finance, interior decorating and volunteering. Together, Roger and Susan raised two sons, Mark and Eric, who have given them three grandsons. Roger is an audiophile who enjoys designing and operating church sound systems. Both Susan and Roger enjoy connecting through and learning about their Scandinavian heritage. In 2012, Roger began his service on the Foundation Board of Trustees at Luther Seminary. This endowed scholarship provides important support for deserving Luther Seminary students in any degree program.
