The Paul and Evelyn Sonnack Endowed Scholarship Fund

The Paul and Evelyn Sonnack Endowed Scholarship Fund was established in 1992 by Paul Sonnack’s wife, Evelyn Sonnack, and by friends, family, and colleagues of the Sonnacks. Paul Sonnack graduated from Augsburg Seminary in 1945 and served the church faithfully as a pastor and as a professor of church history, first at Augsburg College in Minneapolis, Minn., then at Luther Northwestern Theological Seminary. Evelyn continues her relationship with the seminary by volunteering frequently with the seminary archives. This fund was established to honor the memory of Paul Sonnack following his death in July, 1992, and provides important financial support for deserving students in any degree program.
