Rogness/Gullixson Endowed Scholarship Fund

The Rogness/Gullixson Endowed Scholarship Fund was established by Norman Tallakson in 1975 in honor of two former Luther Theological Seminary presidents, Dr. Alvin Rogness and Dr. T. F. Gullixson. Tallakson was primarily self-educated and loved learning. He resolved that, once the needs of his immediate family were met, he would make a special project of providing financial support for training young people. He established a charitable trust to distribute funds to several educational institutions in support of that dream. Tallakson was also an active member of his American Lutheran Church congregation, and chose to name the fund after two theologians held in high regard within that denomination. This fund provides important financial support for deserving ELCA students in any degree program.
