Alina Stevenson Endowed Scholarship Fund

The Alina Stevenson Endowed Scholarship Fund was established in September, 2008, by the estate of Alina Stevenson. Alina was born in Hebron, N.D., attended Concordia College in Moorhead, Minn., and taught English and music for many years, even traveling to Germany to teach conversational English. She was an active member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Eugene, Ore., and recognized Luther Seminary as an important training ground for future church leaders. This fund was established to express her thanksgiving to God and to help Luther Seminary students prepare to strengthen and extend the ministries of Jesus Christ in the church and the world. This fund provides important financial support for deserving students with first preference for students from the Oregon Synod of the ELCA, and second preference for students from Region 1 of the ELCA.
