Roy A. and Sigrid Harrisville Graduate Studies Endowed Fund

The Roy A. and Sigrid Harrisville Graduate Studies Endowed Fund was established in 2001 by Roy and Sigrid’s son, the Rev. Dr. Roy A. Harrisville, Jr. Roy, Sr. graduated from Luther Theological Seminary in 1921 and served several parishes in Minnesota. Roy, Jr. remembers his father as a “whale of a preacher” and established an endowed scholarship in his father’s name for students who excel in homiletics. That fund existed from 1975 until 2001, when Roy, Jr. merged it with other funds he had established over the years to create this fund in honor of both of his parents. This fund provides important financial support for deserving students enrolled in a Ph.D. program.
