Gerald I. and Lorraine L. Williams Endowed Scholarship Fund

The Gerald I. and Lorraine L. Williams Endowed Scholarship Fund was established on July 25, 2002, by Gerald and Lorraine Williams. The fund was established to support the preparation of church leaders with special expertise in children, youth, and family ministry. These leaders will help young people deepen their faith, their knowledge of the Bible, and their ability to share their faith with others. The Williamses were grateful for the excellent youth ministry that their children experienced. Their daughter, Susan, an active lay person, served as chair of the Luther Seminary Board of Directors. Lorraine died in May, 2006. This fund provides important support for financially deserving students or to attract excellent candidates with the qualities to be superior leaders, with preference for students focusing on ministry with and on behalf of children, youth, and families.
