Helen M. Hansen Endowed Scholarship Fund

The Helen M. Hansen Endowed Scholarship Fund was established in December, 1977, by Helen M. Hansen. Helen was a former parishioner of the Rev. Arthur Jothen, who served as the Associate Director of Development at Luther Theological Seminary for eight years. She was an active lay leader in her congregation, Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Valley City, N.D., and recognized Luther Seminary as an important training ground for future church leaders. She established this fund to express her thanksgiving to God and to help Luther Seminary students prepare to strengthen and extend the ministries of Jesus Christ in the church and the world. This fund provides important financial support for deserving students enrolled in any degree program.
