The Mark Frickey Memorial Endowed Scholarship Fund at Luther Seminary

Charles Frickey established the Mark Frickey Memorial Endowed Scholarship fund in 2018 in memory of his son. Mark was born on October 22, 1968, and grew up in Oberlin, Kansas. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Kansas in 1993 and received his Master of Divinity degree from Luther Seminary in 2000. Upon graduation, Mark had a successful ministry in New York and enjoyed working with church members and community leaders. Mark had a congenital liver disorder and passed away on June 3, 2013 while awaiting a liver transplant. Because of Mark’s love for the church, Charles established this fund to provide financial support for any deserving Luther Seminary student.
