Terence E. and Faith L. Fretheim Endowed Scholarship Fund

The Terence E. and Faith L. Fretheim Endowed Scholarship Fund was established by Terence and Faith Fretheim in 2007. Terry is a graduate of Luther Theological Seminary and served until his retirement in 2013, as the Elva Lovell Professor of Old Testament at Luther Seminary. Faith has served the church faithfully in her role as program director for the Women of the ELCA organization, and has collaborated with Terry to write nine articles for Lutheran Woman Today on the subject “Hope in God in Times of Suffering.” This fund was established to recognize the importance of focusing on youth and families for the sake of the future of the church and provides important financial support for students in the Children, Youth and Family program.
