KELL Endowed Scholarship Fund

The KELL Endowed Scholarship Fund was established by Dr. Ed and Patty Lindell in 2001 in honor of their respective families. The Lindells’ parents emigrated to the United States from Ireland, Germany, and Sweden, and brought with them their traditions and beliefs as well as their strong religious faith. Ed and Patty Lindell have had a long and deep relationship with Luther Seminary as volunteers. Ed oversaw Lutheran Brotherhood’s funding of a large project to put on microfilm thousands of Reformation-era documents to be held in the Luther Seminary library and available for loans to scholars throughout the world. Patty has served for many years on the Luther Seminary Foundation Board of Trustees, working to strengthen the financial base for the seminary. The fund Ed and Patty created provides important support for deserving students with excellent academic and leadership skills.
