Cyrus and Elvira Savereide Endowed Scholarship Fund

The Cyrus and Elvira Savereide Endowed Scholarship Fund was established by their children on January 16, 2007, to honor the memory of Cyrus and Elvira Savereide. Cyrus was a 1936 graduate of Luther Theological Seminary. This fund was established to give thanks as a reflection of their stewardship and faith in the triune God, and to prepare Luther Seminary students to extend and share the good news of Jesus Christ during their lives of service to the church. This fund provides important support for financially deserving students who are active members of an ELCA congregation with preference for members of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Hillsboro, N.D., or First Lutheran Church, Fargo, N.D.
