Wiegman Honorary Scholarship Fund

The Wiegman Honorary Scholarship Fund was funded by gifts received at Trinity Lutheran Church, Estherville, Iowa, in honor of the Rev. Paul L. and Mrs. Linda Wiegman for their decades of faithful, caring service to God at Trinity Lutheran Church. Realizing the financial strain facing seminary students today and the shortage of pastors resulting from it, they gave this scholarship with the hope of encouraging students to pursue ordained ministry in the Lutheran church. They pray that student recipients will extend and share the good news of Jesus Christ during their lives of service to the church. Scholarships may be awarded annually to one or more M.Div. students from northern Iowa or southern Minnesota as encouragement to serve in small town and rural ministry settings.
