Eidet Endowed Scholarship Fund

The Eidet Endowed Scholarship Fund was established by Henry and Mavone Eidet in 1983. The Eidets were active members of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Waubay, SD. When a seminary intern told them he would be unable to return to school after his internship, the Eidets talked with their pastor about how they could help needy students in their theological education. Their pastor suggested establishing a scholarship at Luther Seminary. Henry and Mavone did so, and faithfully continued to add to this fund every year. Henry passed away in August of 2000, and Mavone in May of 2009. Their children, Lily Mogen and James Eidet continue to support the fund their parents created. This fund provides important financial support for deserving students in any degree program.
