Doug and Ivy Olson Aloha Current Scholarship Fund of the Lutheran Community Foundation

The Doug and Ivy Olson Aloha Current Scholarship Fund was established by a gift from the Olsons upon Doug’s death in 2011. Doug graduated from Luther Seminary in 1958 and served as a pastor for Calvary-by-the-Sea Lutheran Church in ‘Aina Haina, Hawaii for 33 years. Doug also served his community as a chaplain for Alcoholics Anonymous, the Hawaii prison system and the FBI. Ivy created the Angel Network Charities in 1989, feeding thousands of homeless people and helping them find housing. The Olsons were known for their care and compassion for others. This scholarship provides important support to deserving students in any degree program.
