Marie and Herman Westermoe Endowed Scholarship Fund

The Herman and Marie Walsvik Westermoe Endowed Scholarship Fund was established in October, 1979, by the estate of Herman Westermoe. The Westermoes were active lay leaders in their congregation, and recognized Luther Seminary as an important training ground for future church leaders. They established this fund to express their thanksgiving to God and to help Luther Seminary students prepare to strengthen and extend the ministries of Jesus Christ in the church and the world. Marie died in July, 1976. Herman died in October, 1978. This fund provides important financial support for deserving students preparing to work in global mission work.
