J.A. Blilie Endowed Scholarship Fund

The J.A. Blilie Endowed Scholarship Fund was established in April, 1966, by Esther Paulson and Katharina Blilie to honor Katharina’s father. The Rev. Blilie served as a pastor in Flandreau, S.D. from 1880-1931. Katharina and Esther established this fund to express their thanksgiving to God and to help Luther Seminary students prepare to strengthen and extend the ministries of Jesus Christ in the church and the world. Katharina died in 1968. This fund provides important financial support for deserving middler students, with preference for students who are graduates of Augustana College in Sioux Falls, S.D.
