Edward and Genevieve Stelberg Endowed Scholarship Fund

The Edward and Genevieve Stelberg Endowed Scholarship Fund was established in March, 1978, by Genevieve Stelberg. Genevieve was a nurse in the St. Paul area, and her husband, Edward, was a successful business executive. The Stelbergs were active lay leaders in their congregation, Como Park Lutheran Church in St. Paul, Minn., who recognized Luther Seminary as an important training ground for future church leaders. Genevieve was a generous philanthropist whose major areas of interest included religion, education, medicine, and children. She established this fund to express her thanksgiving to God and to help Luther Seminary students prepare to strengthen and extend the ministries of Jesus Christ in the life of the church and the world. This fund provides important support for financially deserving students enrolled in any degree program.
