Mission Developer Scholarship Fund

The Mission Developer Scholarship Fund was established by Rev. Mark Christoffersen and his father, Carl E. Christoffersen. After Rev. Christoffersen graduated from Luther Seminary in 1982, he served as a mission developer in Georgia and in Virginia. Later, he served as pastor of Our Saviour’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Fairfield, Connecticut. Rev. Christoffersen followed in the footsteps of his great-grandfather, J.T.O. Olander, who served as a pastor in the Augustana Synod in Rhode Island and helped establish several churches in the upper peninsula of Michigan. This scholarship provides important financial support for M.Div. students with a passion for mission development.
