Anna B. and Edgar O. Berdahl Endowed Scholarship Fund

The Anna B. and Edgar O. Berdahl Endowed Scholarship Fund was established on November 23, 2007, by Anna Berdahl. Anna was an active lay leader in her home congregation, Community Lutheran Church in Las Vegas, Nev. Her husband, Edgar, was a mechanical engineer who worked closely with the U.S. Naval and Air Forces from the mid-1940s until his retirement in 1979, working with weapons systems and airplane trajectories. After his retirement, he enjoyed flying private planes as a hobby, and he established Berdahl Energy Savers in Burson, Calif., a contracting company that built homes with passive solar design. This fund was established to honor Edgar’s memory following his death in July, 2007, and provides important financial support for deserving students in any degree program.
