Lars R. Lund Presidential Endowed Scholarship Fund

The Rev. Lars R. Lund Endowed Presidential Scholarship Fund was established by Lars’s daughter, Gertrude Hognander, in February, 2004, to honor his memory. Lars was a 1912 graduate of Augsburg Seminary, a predecessor of Luther Seminary, who served as a parish pastor in Wisconsin. Gertrude was an avid musician who played the organ at the congregations she attended and also directed the church choirs. Gertrude died in January, 2005. This fund provides important financial support for deserving Presidential Scholars selected by Luther Seminary’s prevailing policies.
