Mary E. Beck McClung Endowed Scholarship Fund

The Mary E. Beck McClung Endowed Scholarship Fund was established by Mary McClung in October, 1993. Mary was an active lay leader in her congregation, Central Lutheran Church in Bellingham, Wash., who recognized Luther Seminary as an important training ground for future church leaders. Recognizing the high cost of a sound theological education, Mary established this fund to help make a seminary education financially accessible for students who feel God’s call to ministry. This fund provides important financial support for deserving full-time M.Div. or M.Th. students preparing for pastoral ministry.
