Robert and Rebecca Nesse Current Scholarship Fund

The Robert and Rebecca Nesse Current Scholarship fund was established in 2014. Robert and Rebecca Nesse established this fund as a legacy of the faith and values important to the Nesse family. In gratitude for the solid pastoral leadership they experienced, they are committed to the development and financial well-being of future church leaders. Robert’s grandfather, Hans Martin Nesse, was a Luther Seminary alum who spent most of his ministry in China. Rebecca’s father, John Carlson, was always active as a lay leader at church. Because of the support they received from congregations that welcomed them over the years, the Nesse’s value the important work congregations do and the capacity of a good leader to bring vitality and mission to faith communities. This scholarship provides important financial support for a deserving M.Div. student at Luther Seminary.
