Flesner and Mueller Endowed Scholarship Fund

The Flesner and Mueller Endowed Scholarship Fund was established on March 4, 1983, by St. John’s Lutheran Church of Washburn Park (Minneapolis), Minnesota. St. John’s established the fund in honor of two of their members who were strong seminary leaders, Dr. Dorris Flesner and Lillian Mueller. Dr. Flesner was a beloved professor at Northwestern Seminary and later at Luther Northwestern Theological Seminary, and Lillian Mueller was the first president of Northwestern Seminary’s Women’s Auxiliary. Each year one scholarship is awarded at Luther Seminary to a deserving student in any degree program.
