James E. and Gloria H. Thvedt Endowed Scholarship Fund

The James E. and Gloria H. Thvedt Endowed Scholarship Fund was established on April 12, 2006, by James and Gloria Thvedt. James is a 1959 graduate of Luther Theological Seminary. The fund was established to give thanks for God’s blessings and to help Luther Seminary students prepare to extend and share the good news of Jesus Christ during their lives of service to the church. This fund provides important support for financially deserving students with first preference for members of ELCA congregations of the South Dakota Synod, second preference for international students, and third preference for members of congregations in Region 3 of the ELCA.
