J.W. and Agnes Siverson Endowed Scholarship Fund

The J.W. and Agnes Siverson Endowed Scholarship Fund was established in March, 1991, by Agnes Siverson. J.W. “Seivie” Siverson was a druggist, bank president, and active community leader in Hendricks, Minn., until his death in 1985. The Siversons were active lay leaders in their congregation, Christ Lutheran Church in Hendricks, Minn., who recognized Luther Seminary as an important training ground for future church leaders. Agnes established this fund to help Luther Seminary students prepare to strengthen and extend the ministries of Jesus Christ in the church and the world, and to honor her husband’s philosophy that “you can’t outgive God.” This fund provides important financial support for deserving students enrolled in any degree program.
