Class of 1957 Endowed Scholarship Fund

The Class of 1957 Endowed Scholarship Fund was initiated in December, 2002, by generous anonymous donors who issued a matching funds challenge to their classmates. At their fiftieth class reunion in January, 2008, the members of this class voted to use the funds they had raised to establish an endowed scholarship. All of the donors to this fund are 1957 graduates of Augsburg Theological Seminary, Northwestern Lutheran Theological Seminary, and Luther Theological Seminary. They established this fund to express their thanksgiving to God for the theological educations that they received, and to help Luther Seminary students prepare to strengthen and extend the ministries of Jesus Christ in the church and the world. This fund provides important financial support for deserving students enrolled in any degree program.
